Inside The Works
Watch a pump being made
Five shops under one roof, from the first pour to the test loop. Let the reel run, or use the arrows.
// Stage 01 //
Cast
Casings, covers and impellers are poured from grey iron, ductile iron, bronze and stainless. Every heat is sampled, and its chemistry is recorded against the casting number.
// Stage 02 //
Machine
Flanges are faced and drilled to EN 1092-1. Bores and seal chambers are turned in one setting so the rotor runs true, and impellers are trimmed to the diameter your duty needs.
// Stage 03 //
Fabricate
Baseplates are welded from steel channel, stress-relieved, then machined flat where pump and motor sit, so the alignment holds after grouting.
// Stage 04 //
Assemble
Rotors are balanced, bearings fitted hot, seals set to their working length. Pump and motor are aligned on the baseplate with a laser.
// Stage 05 //
Test
Every pump runs on the test loop against its curve before it ships: flow, head, power and vibration recorded to ISO 9906. Casings are pressure-tested at 1.5 times their rating.
Who We Are
Cast by hand, machined to tolerance, proven on our own loop
Foundry, machine shop, fabrication, assembly and test loop sit under one roof. The engineer who sizes your pump can walk to every stage of it, so a casting flaw or a short curve is found here, not on your site.
Canal water with some sand. A back-pull-out end-suction pump keeps the wear parts easy to reach during the season, and a bronze impeller copes with the sand..
Toluene, 40 °C. The liquid decides the metal and the seal before the size: stainless casing, cartridge seal with a flush, and a motor rated for the site's hazardous area..
Every pump runs on our loop before it ships. Flow, head and power are measured at five points, your duty included, and the certificate travels with the pump.
