About NORTHFORM
Designed for the distance between places.
NORTHFORM began with a simple idea: everyday clothing should work harder without asking for more attention.
Since 2021
We started with six pieces and one rule: nothing gets made unless it works with everything else
The brief came from frustration rather than ambition. Technical outerwear performed but announced itself. Considered clothing looked right and failed the moment it rained. Neither had been designed for a person who cycles to work, sits in meetings and walks home in the dark.
Five years on the catalogue is still deliberately small. We add a piece when it closes a genuine gap and retire one when it stops earning its place. Everything is drawn to the same shoulder line, hem logic and colour temperature.

Our philosophy
Clothing earns its place by being used. We design for the seventy per cent of days that repeat rather than the exceptional one, which means fewer pieces, drawn to work together, judged on their second year rather than their first week.

Materials
Every fabric passes abrasion, hydrostatic head and forty accelerated wash cycles before it reaches a pattern. We publish the figures we have and leave a gap where we do not — a claim we cannot substantiate is not a feature.

Design
We draft from tailoring blocks and then rebuild for movement: gusseted crotches, articulated knees, forward-set shoulder seams. The aim is a garment that behaves like equipment and reads like clothing.

Function
Details exist because a problem demanded them. A hood that rolls into a collar because a detachable one ends up in a drawer. Set-back cargo pockets because forward ones flare. Nothing is added to look technical.

Longevity
We guarantee every piece against manufacturing defects for as long as you own it, repair what falls outside that at cost, and run a reproofing service in three of our stores. The most sustainable garment is the one you keep.

Four locations offer fitting appointments, hemming and repairs. Our staff log what they hear on the floor and send it back to the design team — a meaningful share of our revisions start there.
