What is an employer of record?
Where you have no legal entity, Workloom employs the person on your behalf through ours. They are on a compliant local contract, receive local benefits, and work day to day for you.
How is pricing calculated?
Per person, per month, on the plan that fits how they work. Contractors are $29, employer of record starts at $499. Nothing is charged for people who are offboarded mid-month.
Do I need to open an entity anywhere?
Not on the Contractors or Employer of record plans — we are already registered in every country listed. Global payroll is for companies that already have entities and want us to run payroll through them.
How quickly can someone start?
Most onboardings complete in three to five business days. A handful of countries need longer for statutory registration; you will see the realistic date before you commit to one.
What happens at the end of a contract?
Offboarding follows local notice and settlement rules, including any statutory severance. Final payslips and documents stay available in your account afterwards.
Can we keep our existing benefits provider?
On Global payroll, yes — we integrate with what you run. On Employer of record the statutory package comes through our local entity, with supplementary cover available.
Is there a minimum contract?
No. Every plan is month to month. Some enterprise customers choose an annual term for a discount, but it is never required.
How does data export work?
Full export at any time in CSV or via the API: people, contracts, pay history and documents. Your records remain yours.
